Growing2gether is pleased to announce that Diana Whitmore, the charity’s founder/CEO, and Gavin Morgan, our Operations Director, are joining forces to become Co-Chief Executive of Growing2gether.

Diana and Gavin have worked closely together for nearly a year, strengthening the charity and increasing reach to more young people facing disadvantage through our innovative Growing2gether nursery mentoring programme and youth-led social action projects. Says Diana Whitmore: “Through this new shared role, we wish to stand side by side in supporting Growing2gether’s growth and successful expansion beyond Highland into four new local authorities (Aberdeen City, Dundee, Moray and Aberdeenshire). Working together with our shared ethos, vision and values, alongside our skilled staff, we will actualise our Mission to serve young people who deserve better. We are passionate about enabling young people to realise how precious they are, how much they have to contribute to the world and to develop the skills to make positive choices for their lives.”

The new roles will commence in January 2024, with our daily operations remaining the same.  Our experienced Growing2gether team will continue to take our work forward in their usual high performing and committed way, with continued support from Diana and Gavin.

Diana Whitmore, MAEd, has founded three successful charities and has over 37 years’ experience of working with young people facing disadvantage. Gavin Morgan, is the vice chair of the Community Learning and Development (CLD) Standards Council  ‘registration committee’ and has strong links into Third Sector partners. He spent six years within a national role for Who Cares? Scotland and has over 25 years’ experience across public, private and third sector organisations.

We are excited for the next phase of the Charity growing from strength to strength.
