The Science & resources

Backed by science and psychology, it’s possible to shift young minds from survival mode into safety, connection and curiosity. As they begin to heal from trauma, they form new neural pathways of trust, empathy and leadership.

The approach is based on Transpersonal and Positive Psychology, which focuses on ‘understanding values, strengths, virtues, talents, well-being’ (Seligman, 2005), to help young people to recognise their unique potential.

When two groups of vulnerable children are brought together in a safe, nurturing space, something extraordinary happens: healing attachment experiences are formed for both.

These are some of the resources underpinning our approach.
