Supporting meaningful change in ourselves, our communities and the wider world

Perhaps you already support people through change.

You may lead teams, work in business, education, health, sustainability, community development, social enterprise or creative practice.

You care deeply about people and outcomes, yet sometimes find yourself carrying more responsibility than you would like, stepping in with advice too quickly, or wondering whether there is a more effective way to communicate and support change.

You may even find yourself asking a deeper question:
What comes next in my work and my life?

A simple but transformative idea

Most of us have been taught that being helpful means having the answers.
Coaching begins with a different assumption:

People are often wiser, more resourceful and more capable than we realise when they are given the space to think well.

Rather than solving problems for people, coaching helps people find clarity, take ownership and discover their own way forward.

In a world facing increasing complexity, uncertainty and change, this is a profoundly practical skill.

Foundations in Coaching

The Foundations course is an internationally recognised introduction to coaching for people who care about people, community and positive change.

Whatever sector you work in, the programme offers practical coaching skills that can be applied immediately in everyday conversations, leadership, community work and professional practice.

Many participants join because they want a more effective and sustainable way of working with people. Others are curious about whether coaching might become part of a future portfolio career, livelihood or next chapter.

Wise Goose is a certified B Corp and internationally accredited coach training provider.

Like many people drawn to Findhorn, we believe that inner development and outer change belong together. Our work is rooted in the belief that business can be a force for good, meaningful contribution and systems change are deeply connected and can be mutually supportive rather than competing goals, to create what we call ‘success with a soul’.

As part of our B Corp commitment, we track long-term impact rather than simply counting attendance or certificates. We are proud that 95% of our alumni rate the long-term impact and effectiveness of their training at the highest levels.

What participants often discover

People arrive expecting to learn coaching skills.

Many leave with much more:

  • Greater confidence in important conversations

  • A different relationship with leadership and influence

  • New ways of working with complexity, transition and change

  • A clearer sense of their own path and contribution

  • A community of thoughtful fellow learners

As one Wise Goose graduate reflected:

'We've achieved so much in the organisation, but I feel like I'm not learning enough.'

For many, coaching becomes both a practical skill and a doorway into a deeper form of learning.

Returning to Findhorn

This programme marks our first Foundations programme in Findhorn in many years.

Having recently returned to facilitate a workshop with Diana Whitmore, we were reminded why the Ecovillage remains such an inspiring setting for this work: a place where experimentation, community and possibility come together in everyday life.

As we are piloting this new partnership model, we do not yet know whether future Foundations programmes will be offered in Findhorn.

So if learning in this setting matters to you, we encourage you to join this year's cohort rather than waiting for a future opportunity.
